The technology of the united people of weiv:
Monofilament chain-wire: Monofilament chain-wire is an incredibly strong strand of thin wire. It is then rotated around a handle or 'blade' at incredible speeds which in turn superheats the wire allowing it to cut incredibly well. The process produces a high pitched whining hum noise accompanied by the wire itself taking on an orange glow. This process is similar in some ways to a chainsaw but far superior. The cutting power of the superheated wire is such that even combat knives utilising it can be used to cut through tough metal doorways, although cutting through dense materials can take time.
The technology is unique to the UPOW and highly sought after, it is often employed in gladius style combat blades for their military forces, although officers will have them on curved katana-esque swords. Monofilament chain-wire requires careful and frequent cleaning and maintenance to prevent dangerous wear and tear defects. In extreme cases the wire, if uncared for or if cut by another of the same wire, can snap and due to the speeds of the weapon cause severe damage and mutilation to any nearby.
Titan glass shields: Titan glass is a material that is similar to plexiglass of old. It is a usually transparent and incredibly dense type of plastic material. It has the strange function of when taking heavy impact to a small area, such as from a bullet, the surrounding area softens and flexes similar to kevlar, spreading the impact across a wider area to prevent the bullets piercing power. As such the UpoW uses this material for large rectangular riot shields, well suited for their usual close ranged warfare.
